Pocketbook of Parenting has been written for busy parents who want effective parenting strategies for all ages (young children to young adults) at their fingertips. This book provides parents with simple strategies that assist the parent-child connection and calmness at home. With all the accessible parenting information available it can be difficult for parents to find what works for their family. This book provides a framework for parents to use based on research that can be adapted as needed to suit most households. Dr Anna Martin (PhD) is a child, adolescent, adult and couples clinical therapist, with a private practice in Auckland. Anna’s doctoral thesis focused on discipline, the parent/child relationship and the well-being and development of children. She has published articles on parenting, discipline and the parent-child relationship and is often asked to speak at seminars and workshops around the country. She was on the expert panel of parenting magazine Littlies for a number of years and is often interviewed on television and radio. She currently has a weekly Drivetime spot with Stace and Flynny on The Hits. She is also a mother and a step-mother.
